JSW Cement establishes first production facility in North India; MD aims for pan-India reach

JSW Cement Ltd. announced on May 10 that it will open a new location in Nagaur, Rajasthan. This will be the business’s first location in the northern region of the nation, according to a post on X by managing director Parth Jindal.

 

“Extremely proud that JSW Cement is entering North India, today we have broken ground at our site in Nagaur, Rajasthan. A new beginning for JSW one that will see us becoming a pan India cement player by 2026. Initially a 3.3mn unit this unit will eventually scale to 15mn over time,” Jindal mentioned.

With a medium-term goal of reaching 60 million tonnes capacity in the following five years, it intends to add 2 million tonnes this calendar year (2023). The business is anticipated to invest a substantial amount of money in a range of initiatives to lower its carbon emissions throughout this time.
