I would like to tell that I am not a comic actor, I consider myself as a versatile actor: Rohitashv Gour

Versatile actor Rohitashv Gour won awards for four consecutive years in ITA awards. This year he has won the best actor for Sanjay and Binaifer Kohli’s popular show Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai. When asked he says,”I feel great to have received the award for the for 4 consecutive years. Earlier when I used to go for ITA, I used to think why I am not receiving awards in spite of being nominated. But now I am a happy man. An award is a recognition of a hardworking actor.

I would like to dedicate this award to my father Sudarshan Gour who guided me into this field. I was adamant on going to Mumbai and he was never reluctant. He told me only one thing that I must prepare myself first as an actor. Then he advised me to go to National School Of Drama and by God’s grace, I got selected from Himachal to go to the prestigious NSD. The only reason that I want to dedicate this award to my father because many parents forbade their children to go into this field but my father always supported my decision and encouraged me.” Speaking on his inspiration in the craft of acting he says,”Firstly I would like to tell that I am not a comic actor rather I am an actor who can do comedy as well, I consider myself as a versatile actor. There are many versatile actors whom I follow they are Paresh Rawal, Naseeruddin Shah, Late Om Puri Sahab. In the current lot actor, Rajkumar Rao is a versatile actor, I love his acting skills. Even Sunil Grover is a great versatile artist.”
