Aster DM Healthcare declared on Friday, April 12, that following the conclusion of its meeting earlier today, the board of the business authorized a special dividend of ₹118 per equity share. The hospitality chain stated that the dividend will be paid to stockholders whose names are on the company’s membership register as of April 23, the record date for the payment, in a regulatory filing to the stock exchanges. Within 30 days, the dividend will be paid.

Aster DM Healthcare did point out that the dividend is a result of the proceeds from the sale of the GCC business and the redemption of redeemable preference shares that were issued to the company on 49,95,13,060 equity shares at a value of ₹10 each by Affinity Holdings Pvt Ltd, a wholly-owned material subsidiary of Aster DM Healthcare.

Shares of Aster DM Healthcare finished 2.66 percent higher at ₹487.95 apiece on the BSE prior to the announcement of the special dividend. On the BSE, the hospitality stock is almost at its 52-week high of ₹500.60 a share.
Aster DM Healthcare has outperformed the Nifty 50 and Sensex in the past year, according to Trendlyne statistics. Over the last month, the company has yielded returns of 15.99%, compared to 0.82 percent and 0.78 percent for the Nifty 50 and Sensex, respectively.
