The new film of Nitesh Tiwari, who has previously proved himself making films like “Dangal”, “Chillar Party”, “Queen” and “Bhootnath Returns” is a talk of the town. Starring Shraddha Kapoor, Varun Sharma, and Sushant Singh Rajpur in lead roles among other actors, this film is a full package of entertainment.
Right now doing great on the box office, “Chhichhore” is a fun film which pleases the crowd.
The film marks a new beginning in Nitesh’s career in Bollywood. Driven by the story more than star power, and assured to hit the box-office bullseye, the film moves Tiwari into the club of exciting new-age mainstream filmmakers to look forward to.
Keeping Raghav – a son of high achieving parents (Annirudh played by Sushant and Shraddha as Maya), battling for life in a hospital – the centre of the story, the film deals with “not-so-talked-about” issues as an underlying message. The movie witnesses how his parents reunite with their friends after decades and the older generation, goes on a nostalgia trip reminiscing their college days, hoping their bittersweet memories will help save a teenager, who has lost all will to live.
While the message is the theme of Chhichhore’s storyline, it does not fail to entertain its viewers with the college and hostel days screenplay all over.
Apart from the great visualisation, direction, acting, the film also proves on the grounds of how well it has been written. Funny dialogues, frat-boy jokes, everything is set to be served.
You might be able to predict some of the scenes in the film, all thanks to ‘Three Idiots’, however, the juggle between past and present is dealt with nicely. The film is an appropriate mix of romance, comedy, a sporting championship and some hard realities of hostel life.
Also, it gives a message to the youngsters of how their parents’ friendship lasted this long.
I say, go and must watch this film to learn a few things about your parents’ generation, if you and in college or school. And for the ones of Annirudh’s and Maya’s age, can do and come back with a pot full of memories and understanding about their children.
