Saif Ali Khan’s Starrer Kaalakaandi not upto expectations

The word “Kaalakaandi” has been derived from Marathi language which actually is used for “Mayhem”. So you should not confuse yourselves by relating it with the sweet Kaalakand .The first Movie of the Director Akshat Verma whose trailer launched a few weeks back has been released on the big Screens. The movie was neither much appreciated nor much criticized by the experts. That means you can buy a ticket to entertain yourselves for the time the movie runs.

The Movie Kaalakaandi has as unique storyline like its title. It is a multi starrer movie where one will find the Chote Nawab of Bollywood ‘Saif Ali khan’ in the lead role. The other names in the movie are Deepak Dobriyal, Vijay Raaz, Kunaal Roy Kapoor, Neil Bhoopalam, Shobhita Dhulipala, Isha Talwar, Nary Singh and Akshay Oberoi. Many of these names were previously seen in the movie Delhi belly which was written by the director of Kaalakaandi.

Saif’s character in the movie is shown gulping down a small and red drug and then gulping down in the night. One can call this movie “It happened in one night” format. The storyline covers the events happened with the Saif’s brother(Oberoi) who is going to be married soon, his pretty bride (Nary Singh), a young couple figuring out relationship goals(Kapur and Dhulipala), a birthday girl( treasurywala),a handsome  wedding photographer  (Talwar) a bunch of goons (Dobriyal , Raaz , Bhoopalam and co) and a number of cops .

A number of funny and entertaining Dialogues are kept in the movie.  There are scenes in the movie where one will find the characters using the abusive words for one another. The ‘F-words ‘and Maa-Behen spewing gangsters have acted quite expectedly.

As far as the role of Saif Ali khan is concerned, he has shown his great acting skills by stepping out of his comfort area and playing a different and unique role in which he wasn’t seen earlier.

So you can give it a chance and can watch the movie at least once for sure.
