A kind of millennial return to the 90s showdown between Sanjay Dutt and Jackie Shroff in Subhash Ghai’s Khalnayak; War is a treat for action movie buffs. It has loads of stunts, adrenal-rushing scenes, twists and simply enough masala and blasts to keep you occupied with the first half, however once the big reveal occur in the second half of the story, it goes astray; At this point one may feel that, it truly misses the mark on the story front.

Kabir (Hrithik) and Khalid (Tiger), punch, kick and pound each other to a pulp while leaving no stones unturned. And watching the two on-screen characters definitely puts on a great show for the fans. The two on-screen characters feed off one another’s capacity to look charming and dashing, at the same time. And when they’re not fighting for supremacy, they’re trying to out-dance each other in foot-tapping numbers. Vaani Kapoor has a little role, where she aims to raise the glamour quotient of the movie. Ashutosh Rana brings his typical dialed-up power to his character, too.

Like the quintessential performer, War presents a tad of everything in its story — action, drama, music, romance, exotic locations and car chases.

The screenplay accounts for each business motion picture component. In an offer to make it Hollywood-esque, the director Siddharth Anand and his crew have designed the numerous stunts of the film to show thrills that you’d for the most part watch in motion pictures like Mission Impossible and Fast And Furious.

It’s a desi action flick with a lot of stunts and adrenal rushing scenes – As for the whole concept and its execution, War is a decent watch for action lovers.
