Christine Quinn’s husband, Christian Richard, has been detained in connection with an alleged domestic abuse case. He was taken into custody on Tuesday, March 19, for an incident involving their son, as reported by PEOPLE.
The Los Angeles Police Department stated that Hollywood officers arrived at a house at 2 p.m. on Tuesday for a local issue. “Victim and suspect were involved in a domestic dispute,” the LAPD public information officer stated. “The suspect threw a bag containing a glass bottle at the victim, missed the victim, but the object hit the victim’s child causing injury.”
Paramedics treated the couple’s son’s injuries. According to reports, Richard faced charges of assault with a “deadly weapon.”
Quinn got married in December of 2019 to Richard. Their first child, a son named Christian Georges Dumontet, was born in May 2021. Netflix’s real estate drama Selling Sunset featured glimpses of the couple’s relationship. In any case, not much information about Quinn’s spouse is open to the public.
Quinn was seen as a series regular until the fifth season of the television show. Richard refused to use his last name, Dumontet, when he appeared with his spouse. Citing “privacy reasons,” he went by Richard.
In May 2022, Quinn told PEOPLE that she and Richard were working together to start a crypto real estate venture called RealOpen. She met him after filming the first season of the docusoap. They were reportedly set up by one of her friends.
