Actress Lee Hyeri suffered an ankle injury during a stage greeting on August 24, which has forced her to postpone her Victory movie promotion. The production company for the South Korean musical drama scheduled for release in 2024, Mindmark Movies, released a formal statement in response to the circumstances.

The statement claims that Heyeri was hurt while welcoming Victory to the stage. Despite the fact that the damage was considered minor, it was decided to put her health first and go to the hospital right away. The company apologizes to the spectators for any difficulty caused and has postponed the promotional event that was supposed to take place at SSG Landers Field after the stage welcome.

The film, Victory debuted on August 14, 2024, and stars Lee Hyeri as Chu Pil Sun, a high school student who finds her passion for cheerleading. The story takes place in 1999 in Geoje and follows Pil Sun and her best friend, Jang Mi Na, played by Park Se Wan, as they form a cheerleading club called Millennium Girls.

The story develops as Pil Sun, Mi Na, and their newly formed cheerleading team work to support the struggling Geoje Commercial High School soccer team, which is infamous for its constant last-place finishes. The film weaves a tale of determination and friendship as the Millennium Girls aim to win starring Lee Jung Ha and Jo Ah Ram in lead roles

Choi Ji Su, who plays the manager of the cheerleading club in the movie, and a number of up-and-coming actors and actresses, including Baek Ha I, Kwon Yu Na, Yeom Ji Young, Lee Han Joo, Park Hyo Eun, and Lee Chan Hyeong, round out the supporting cast and add to the poignant and lively plot.

Victory has done admirably at the box office, generating 1.7 million USD with approximately 250,000 tickets sold as of August 23, 2024, despite the brief hiccup in promotions. Audiences have responded favorably to the film’s blend of upbeat dancing routines, poignant drama, and inspirational ideas, which highlights the ability and commitment of the actors and crew.
