Ruksana (Anushka Sharma) was found under mysterious circumstances by Arnab (Parambrata Chatterjee) in a secluded jungle. She was all alone so Arnab decided him to keep Ruksana with him as her life was in danger. As the time passes he discovers all new side of the girl.
Ram Gopal verma started the trend of classic horror movies in India 15 years ago. Thereafter a number of directors tried their hands in this genre but not a single movie came closer to Ramu’s cult classics, let alone outshining them. Anushka is doing her third movie but can rightly be called her strongest movie as a producer-actor. Pari has the potential to redefine the genre as this movie has everything that could turn the atmosphere scary.
The plus point of the movie is that like most of the other Bollywood horror movies, it does not have excessive conversation between characters or dramatic ‘possessed by evil spirit’ performances. It is a movie which runs on its own unique storyline. It has many of the elements which are hard to find in any other horror movie like eerie silence, haunting yet soothing melancholic music, an enchanting love story and an air of paranoia that will haunt your minds steadily.
The main actors in the movie are Anushka Sharma, Parambrata Chatterjee and Rajat Kapoor . The major attraction of the movie is that , even if the pace drops in the movie, the actors ensured that it doesn’t fall flat. The headphone scene in the movie is one of the remarkable scenes of the movie.
Credit must be given to the art direction for including lonely roads and bylanes of Kolkata, thunderous rains, dark and isolated houses to flickering lights and ghostly curtains. Moreover, like numerous other horror movies , the makeup and special effects are not comical.
If you were looking for a movie that could scare you ,and if you are interested in this genre then Pari, a mysterious and suspenseful creepy thriller is a perfect one for you .
