Premier League announces 15-member shortlist for 2024 PL Hall of Fame

The Premier League has announced the 15 players who will be inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2024, with fans urged to vote for their top two picks. The list includes several past icons, like Cesc Fabregas, Eden Hazard, and David Silva, who are now eligible after retiring, as well as Manchester United veteran Nemanja Vidic and teammate Gary Neville and renowned journeyman striker Jermain Defoe.

Each Hall of Fame recipient receives a personalised medallion engraved with their induction year, as well as a £10,000 gift to their chosen charity.

Since its beginnings in 2021, the Hall of Fame has welcomed 21 individuals. David Beckham, Dennis Bergkamp, Eric Cantona, Thierry Henry, Roy Keane, Frank Lampard, Steven Gerrard and Alan Shearer were the first inductees.

Sergio Agüero, Didier Drogba, Vincent Kompany, Wayne Rooney, Peter Schmeichel, Paul Scholes, Patrick Vieira and Ian Wright were added in 2022, while Sir Alex Ferguson and Arsene Wenger became the first two managers to be inducted in 2023. In addition to the famous Manchester United and Arsenal managers, Tony Adams, Petr Cech and Rio Ferdinand were all voted in, with Ashley Cole joining them on Monday.

Fans may vote for their top two picks at www.premierleague.com/halloffame and through the official Premier League app. Voting is available until midday on Monday, April 8, with the two inductees being revealed on Monday, April 22.
