Metro…In Dino records low pre-sales in National Chains

Metro…In Dino sold 18500 tickets in top national chains like PVRInox and Cinepolis for the opening day. The movie needs to increase the number of tickets sold for the opening day, firstly because it is a sequel to the critically acclaimed film Life In A Metro, and secondly to cover the costs incurred during the making.

According to Pinkvilla, Metro…In Dino must mint atleast Rs 75 crore worldwide.

The film was destined on a budget of Rs 65 crore, however it increased due to reshoots. Including the cost of production at Rs 85 crore and the Rs 15 crore p&a, the movie has generated Rs 70 crore from non-theatrical revenue sources. Rs 75 crore gross worldwide collections will direct the requisite Rs 30 crore share for the film.

Sara Ali Khan and Aditya Roy Kapur’s characters form a bond at the metro station while on a different arc, the characters of Konkona Sen Sharma and Pankaj Tripathi forms alignment.

On the same pedestal, Saswata Chatterjee gets aligned with Neena Gupta and Anupam Kher in the busy streets of Kolkata. The conclusion arc is completed with Ali Fazal and Fatima Sana Shaikh’s characters introduction.

The composition is penned by Qaisar Ul Jafri (backed with additional lyrics written by Sandeep Shrivastava). It showcases that giving a second chance to the abstract form of love, during the course of life even though it delivers the pain at the end.
