The Chennai family welfare court has finally given Dhanush and Aishwaryaa Rajinikanth a divorce, formally ending their relationship. The court determined that both parties had stated their incapacity to maintain their relationship, according to an NDTV article.

Both Dhanush and Aishwaryaa had already appeared in court and announced their intention to divorce, which was confirmed on November 27, 2024. At the beginning of 2022, the actor and his spouse made an official announcement of their split.

Dhanush Permanently Breaks Ties with Aishwarya

The statement which was unveiled by both of them read, “18 years of togetherness as friends, couple, as parents and well-wishers to each other. The journey has been of growth, understanding, adjusting, and adapting. Today we stand at a place where our paths separate.”

“Aishwaryaa (Dhanush) and I have decided to part ways as a couple and take time to understand us as individuals for the better. Please do respect our decision and give us the needed privacy to deal with this,” they said in separate copies.

The couple are blessed with Yatra and Linga,  born in 2006 and 2010, respectively.
