Selena Gomez-Benny Blanco’s long-awaited wedding

On April, Benny mentioned his wedding planning, “We haven’t figured out anything in our wedding yet,” he quoted in appearance with his fiancée on the 30 April episode of the Table Manners ft Jessie and Lennie Ware podcast.

“The only thing I’ve said straight up, as a part of the food, is that I want [Jewish cook and food writer] Jake [Cohen] to do the challah,” the music producer added. “That’s all I care about. He makes the best challah I’ve ever had.”

Previously, Selena mentioned that they will not be following the popular wedding convention, including the first dance. Nonetheless, Selena agreed on a special dance with her maternal grandfather to make him live the moments he missed during her mother’s wedding, as reported by People.

The couple got engaged in December 2024 after months of casual dating and eventually went public with their relationship.

Even though Gomez and Bieber have kept quiet about one another’s private lives for years, it’s obvious that the singer still finds resonance in their previous relationship. She recently talked openly about her faults throughout their time together in an emotional podcast episode. “I’ve been guilty, though, to start. I think for me, I necessarily felt like in other situations of mine I was very reactive. I think that’s why I was alone for five years because I really needed to collect myself”

Gomez’s self-awareness has grown significantly, and she attributes this to Blanco’s ability to make her feel understood in ways she never imagined.  “I’ve learned a lot of lessons and I’ve made mistakes, and I just want this to be right,” she said, further stating, “For me, that was a lesson that I had to learn. I think girls can equally want to be right. For me, it was really difficult in the past, and he’s made it unbelievably easy so that if I even get to the point where I’m so frustrated, he’s like very quick to understand.”

Gomez even disclosed that Blanco’s soothing influence enabled her to change her perspective from one of impulsive reaction to one of calmer, with more rational response to problems.

With a four-carat marquise-shaped diamond, the music producer proposed to Gomez. The ring currently on Gomez’s finger cost approximately $200K, according to a knowledgeable jewelry vendor in the United Kingdom.

Post the adorable engagement of the couple, Maxwell Stone posted, “With meticulously crafted facets that come together to create an exceptional brilliance, the center stone is complimented by diamond-encrusted shoulders.”

It further added, “While marquise-cut diamonds are less common than the more traditional round or cushion cuts, they are highly coveted by those with a taste for individuality and distinction.”

According to Vogue, the pricey jewelry has historical connections to the French Royal family, despite its exorbitant cost. King Louis XV of France reportedly instructed his jeweler to create a ring that was modeled after the smile of the principal mistress, Marquise de Pompadour.

Additionally, the words of Gomez’s song, which played in the background of the engagement post, matched the ring Blanco placed on her finger.

The lyrics read, “I’m a marquise diamond/Could even make that Tiffany jealous/ You say I give it to you hard/So bad, so bad / Make you never wanna leave/I won’t, I won’t.”

The actress smiled for the picture flaunting the ring, in another picture Blanco gave his lover a back hug while they laughed unguardedly.
