Since their debut, BTS has had to deal with stalkers and hostile online posts. According to BIGHIT Music’s recent update, the threats to their safety and privacy will no longer be accepted.

BIGHIT Music issued a statement on December 27, 2024, highlighting their continued legal actions to combat malicious activity directed toward BTS. These include the dissemination of misleading information, harassment, personal attacks, defamation, and well-meaning criticism. Since their last notification, a number of people have been charged and fined up to 2 million KRW. One of them was a defendant who was found guilty and fined KRW 5 million for posting defamatory content on a blog on many occasions.

The organization is still committed to punishing criminals responsible. Current investigations include civil and criminal actions pertaining to stalking, personal information leaks, and other violations, as well as cases such as a damages lawsuit against “Taldeok Camp.” BIGHIT Music reaffirmed its dedication to upholding the rights of its artists by taking strong legal action against any infringers.

The seven members of the South Korean K-pop group BTS are RM, Suga, Jin, Jimin, Jungkook, V, and J-hope. Since its 2013 debut, the boy band has grown to become one of the most well-known K-pop groups worldwide.

Jin hosted a special event to meet the fans at the group’s two-week celebration of FESTA, which marked the group’s 11th debut anniversary on July 13, 2024. With the exception of Jin and J-Hope, all of the group members are currently serving in the military and will be released in 2025.

BTS

When one thinks of modern K-pop, BTS immediately springs to mind. Being a part of a small company at first made it difficult for the group to gain recognition and success, but today they are a well-known worldwide brand. Earlier in June, the group BTS commemorated the 11th anniversary of their debut. While RM, SUGA, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook are presently serving their mandatory time in the military, Jin was released from the military on June 12. They have hit songs like ON, Dynamite, Butter, Blood, Sweat and Tears, and ON.

TOMORROW X TOGETHER

The five members of TOMORROW X TOGETHER are HueningKai, Taehyun, Beomgyu, Soobin, and Yeonjun. With the release of the single Crown from their album The Dream Chapter: Star in 2019, the group made their debut. They have a distinct pop, rock, and electronic sound in their music. Chasing That Feeling, Deja Vu, I Know I Love You, and other songs are among their chartbusters.

Former K-pop association 

2AM

The members of the K-pop boy band 2AM are Jo Kwon, Lee Changmin, Lim Seulong, and Jeong Jinwoon. In July 2008, the group debuted. JYP Entertainment brought the group together with the documentary Hot Blood. Eventually each member broke up to complete their required military duty. Fans were reassured that this did not indicate the group’s dissolution. 2AM got back together and released their fourth EP, Ballad 21 F/W, in November 2021. Their most recent release, in January 2024, was the song “If You Change Your Mind.”

8Eight

The coed vocal trio 8Eight consisted of Joo Hee, Lee Hyun, and Baek Chan. The ensemble was founded in 2007. Their vocals won them the listeners’ hearts and helped them win the first season of MBC’s Survival Show. 8Eight took home the Mnet Asia Music Awards’ Best Mixed Gender Group trophy. The group disbanded in 2014 as their agreements with BIGHIT MUSIC and Source Music expired.

GLAM

 

BIGHIT MUSIC’s first and only girl group was called GLAM. There were five people in the group: Miso, Dahee, Jiyeon, Zinni, and Trinity. The song “Party XXO” marked the group’s debut in 2012. Unfortunately, the group broke up after only three years. The band continued as a four-piece after the company declared in December 2012 that Trinity had left the group for personal reasons.

Well-known actor Lee Byung Hun stated in 2014 that two women were using a compromising video as leverage to blackmail him. Model Lee Ji Yeon and member Kim Dahee were later found to be responsible for this incident. Following this incident in 2015, BIGHIT MUSIC made an official announcement about the group’s dissolution.

HOMME

The musical duo HOMME consisted of Lee Hyun from 8Eight and Lee Changmin from 2AM. They began as a project group in 2010 and released their first song, “I Was Able to Eat Well,” shortly after. The group’s memorable songs and lyrics helped them to become very well-known. The two broke up because Lee Changmin’s contract with the agency expired in 2018.
