1. Dil Pe Mat Le Yaar

It took Hansal Mehta seven years to make TV shows before he became director of the 1999 film Jayate. The film was well received by viewers at its special Indian Film Festival screening, despite receiving little distribution. He collaborated with a group of gifted performers on his first commercial film, Dil Pe Mat Le Yaar, the following year.

2. Yeh Kya Ho Raha Hai?

Subrata Roy was a maverick businessman whose story goes from dust to diamonds in Scam 2010. The glamorous Roy was arrested in 2014 after being implicated in a series of scandals including chit-fund manipulations and phony investors in the early 2000s. Approximately 25,000 crore rupees remain unclaimed in the hands of government officials.
