On 30 April, the long-standing ‘Housefull’ franchise celebrates its 15th anniversary that has been cherished by people since its establishment. Today, the makers unveiled a special teaser of the upcoming film starring a huge ensemble of actors.

Housefull 5: Plot and Cast

Helmed by Tarun Mansukhani, the film strives to radiate waves of laughter, fun, togetherness and newness. The teaser features the biggest names in Indian cinema, starring Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, Riteish Deshmukh, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Sonam Bajwa in prominent roles. It also stars Nargis Fakhri, Sanjay Dutt, Jackie Shroff, Nana Patekar, Chitrangada Singh, Fardeen Khan, Chunky Pandey, Johnny Lever, Shreyas Talpade, Dino Morea, Ranjeet, Soundarya Sharma, Nikitin Dheer, and Akashdeep Sabir, bringing you a star-studded experience.

The film promises to bring a topsy-turvy turn to the storyline as a killer is on the run and on the verge of it, everyone in the room is under the suspect list, backed with thrill, and anticipation.

Adding feather to the cap of surprises, David Dhawan will bring the sequel to Mujhse Shaadi Karogi which earlier starred Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar and Priyanka Chopra. Now. Sajid Nadiadwala is aiming to cast three young established actors for the leading roles, “MSK 2 is currently in the scripting stage, and the final outcome of it being made depends on how the script shapes up. If Sajid is happy with the script, he will start the casting process, or else put the film on the backburner. The idea is to make another comedy of error with three leads,” the source mentioned.

The action movie Sikandar, starring Salman Khan, was eagerly anticipated by fans. However, the audience’s reaction to the film was unfavorable when it was released in theaters. Some viewers criticized the film for having “no storyline” and called it a failure, while other fans were just delighted to see him again.

A viewer said in disappointment said, as quoted by Hindustan Times, “Sar dukhne laga, chodho” (I got a headache, forget it). Another said, “Kuch bhi samajh nahi aaya, start se end ho gaya par kuch samajh nahi aaya” (I didn’t understand anything, it started and ended, but I didn’t get it). Another termed the film gandi (terrible), and said, “Story hi nahi hai kuch, aisa laga kab khatam ho rahi hai” (There’s no story, I was just waiting for it to end).

Another commented, “Salman Khan ka role nahi samajh aaya” (Couldn’t understand Salman Khan’s role). Another said, “Film will go flop. Today was Eid and theatre was still empty. It’s a flop.”

A viewer criticized Salman’s acting, “Yeh sabse wahiyat movie thi life ki. Salman ki jo acting hai ekdum wahiyat hai” (This was the worst movie of my life. Salman’s acting was absolutely terrible).

One mocked, “Salman ne jaloos kata liya apna. Take Rahul Gandhi also in the film and it will be a hit” (Salman has embarrassed himself. Take Rahul Gandhi in the film, and it will be a hit). While some deemed it bakwas (nonsense) with no meaning attached. A fan quipped, “Kya banaya hai yeh? Salman Khan ne aisi movie bana di?” (What has he made? Did Salman Khan really make such a film?). Another added, “I want my money back.”

Considering it was a Salman Khan movie, the March 30 release got off to a poor start. Despite being launched on a holiday, it only made ₹26 crore on its first day. It was unable to overtake Vicky Kaushal’s Chhaava, which made ₹31 crore on its first day of release.

On Monday, the filming has now begun in Mumbai for Vishal Bhardwaj’s forthcoming untitled action-thriller, starring Triptii Dimri and Shahid Kapoor. The film, which was produced by Sajid Nadiawala, will open in theaters globally on December 5, 2025.

Sajid Nadiawala posted a photo from the Muhurat day of the shoot on his Instagram account. In addition to the main cast, Nana Patekar and Randeep Hooda is set to play the primary roles in the movie.

With a major release scheduled for the end of the year, the film, which started its muhurat shot in Mumbai today, is anticipated to be a high-octane action thriller.

Sajid Nadiadwala is the only producer having several high-profile films scheduled for release in 2025, entirely under his own production and without external assistance, kudos to these successful releases.

Bollywood Hungama was informed by a reliable source that “Baaghi is a dear franchise and a true-blue actioner for the masses.” After three successful movies, Sajid and Tiger (Shroff) are preparing to begin work on the fourth Baaghi movie in November. This year’s release of the picture, which is the largest Baaghi production to date, excites the makers.

The list of achievements for National Award-winning makeup and prosthetics designer Preetisheel Singh haven’t stopped from the day she set foot in the world of make-believe.

“They say, Bollywood is a place where dreams are made. So what better than a profession which helps makes those dreams a reality,” quips Preetisheel, who has designed the looks of actors for some of the topmost movies in Bollywood like Umesh Shukla’s 102 Not Out and Sajid Nadiadwala’s Housefull 3, along with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Bajirao Mastani and Padmaavat.

Her work for the pre-Mughal epic Nanak Shah Fakir directed by Sartaj Singh Pannu bagged her the coveted National Film Award for Best Makeup, while her talent will soon be showcased again in Anubhav Sinha’s Mulk, where Rishi Kapoor will appear in the look of a devout Muslim. Then there is the Nawazuddin Siddiqui-starrer Thackeray — the biopic on Shiv Sena supremo Balasaheb Thackeray, presented by Sanjay Raut and directed by Abhijit Panse.

So what does it take to create different looks? “Prosthetic has a lot of parts involved in it. You first take the life cast of the actor in 3D measurement after which you sculpt and make moulds, running silicon pieces in it,” explains Preetisheel.

“The silicon pieces are then applied on the actor and are merged with the actor’s skin so that it doesn’t look artificial. So tomorrow if a filmmaker comes up and has the requirement for an alien creature, we can do it. In fact, it will be good fun and I’d love to create aliens for Bollywood.”

Is the whole process very time-consuming? “When we look at characters with prosthetics on screen, we do not realize how much time and effort goes behind the scenes. The whole process involves a lot of visualization, planning, detailing, art and finally time. But the end result is worth the energy spent,” she concludes with a smile.
