It did not, however, fare as well with viewers, and according to recent rumors, the channel has added comedian Zakir Khan to help bridge the void with a new initiative.

According to a source in close proximity to the development spoke with Hindustan Times and said, “Zakir’s show will have a mix of shayari and comedy, which is typical Zakir style. The comedian has built his own audience that connects with his shayarana side and with this show, he aims to reach a wider audience. Currently, Madness Machayenge is running on air and is soom expected to wrap up. Zakir’s show is expected to air from August on TV. Along with Zakir’s shayari and comedy, the show will also have Bollywood guests as it used to happen on Kapil’s show too.”

Rumor has it that low TRPs were the reason behind the recent wrapping of filming for Kapil’s OTT show. The crew, however, disregarded the rumors in a video they published and unveiled the future cast of Heeramandi, which featured American singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran along with actors Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor, among others.

The TV show Madness Machayenge, which took Kapil’s position, was criticized by director Karan Johar for his repulsive impersonation on the show. Finalizing the guest list for Zakir’s performance is still pending.

Ajay Devgn planned to promote his upcoming history based thriller movie ‘Baadshaho’ on the popular tv show ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ hosted by Kapil Sharma on Sony TV. Unfortunately, Comedian Kapil Sharma failed to show up thus making the stars walk out. Rumoured reports claimed that superstar actor Ajay had left the sets angry over the apparent last minute cancellation of the episode.

Recently, Ajay Devgn was in New Delhi promoting his movie ‘Baadshaho’ when he cleared the rumors, “We walked out because Kapil didn’t reach the sets. Even we don’t know what happened but the reports that we stormed out in anger are completely wrong. I can’t say if I will go back on the show since many a times the shoot has been canceled. There is no anger here because we have also heard that he has been unwell. The next time I meet him, we will figure it out as at the end of the day, we are colleagues and friends here,”

Some reports said Kapil Sharma was partying till the wee hours and wasn’t able to wake up on time to make it to the shoot.

Ajay Devgn cleared about complaints with Kapil Sharma, “We are colleagues… Everyone is doing good work here. We will meet with love when we meet next.”

‘Baadshaho’ is slated for a September 1st release this year.

However, the shoot had to be stalled when Kapil’s health deteriorated suddenly. The ace comedian, Kapil Sharma, who hasn’t been keeping well for some time now, fainted backstage, following which the shoot had to be cancelled and Shah Rukh Khan returned home without shooting the episode.

Informs a source, “Shah Rukh Khan was ready to commence shoot. However, he had to leave without shooting as Kapil Sharma fainted and was in no condition to shoot the episode. The comedian complained of feeling uneasy while reading the script with his co-actors and left for a check-up. He has been hospitalised again. We will be rescheduling the shoot some time next week.”

Apparently, Kapil Sharma was hospitalised a few weeks ago for low sugar and high Blood Pressure.

Comedian Kapil Sharma may have buried the past, laughing off the infamous spat with his friend-turned-foe Sunil Grover, but seems like he is not on the same page as him. If reports are to be believed, Sunil Grover has neither forgiven nor forgotten the episode and will not let his close friends support Kapil Sharma in any which way possible. And Kiku seems to have ruffled his feathers by doing just that. According to a report in The Times of India, Sunil is hurt by Kiku’s tweet in support of The Kapil Sharma Show.

As per the new TRP ratings, The Kapil Sharma Show garnered more hits as compared to Sunil Grover’s Super Night with Tubelight, a special arrangement by Sony Entertainments. Lauding the feat, Kiku tweeted, “God has been kind.” Now, this didn’t go down well with Sunil and his teammates Ali Asgar and Sugandha Mishra. Sunil Grover supposedly didn’t expect this from Kiku Sharda who was a witness to his spat with Kapil Sharma.

However, Sunil Grover’s reported response to the tweet seems to be a bit weird considering the fact that Kiku Sharda was the only comedian who continued with The Kapil Sharma Show after former members of the team left in the aftermath of the much-talked-about spat.

Kiku also tweeted regarding another good news for TKSS fan’s, Chandan Prabhakar’s comeback on The Kapil Sharma Show. He wrote, “Aksar wahi rishtey lajawaab hote hain, jo zamane se nahi, ehsaaso se bane hote hain @KapilSharmaK9 @haanjichandan welcome back bhai”.

Well seems like Kiku has only good wishes for The Kapil Sharma Show, but that may not earn him a place in Sunil Grover’s good books.

I’m interested in your musical roots – which musicians and singers have been the greatest influence? 

Sugandha: I belong to a family of musicians and blessed to have a guru at home my loving grand pa my dada guru Dr. S.L. Mishra. (Music maestro). I belong to Indore Gharana so i my singing is influenced by legend Ust. Amir Khan Sahab.

Do you have favorite places or times where you like to sing?

Sugandha: I like to sing Weneva. I just want to be myself, do rehearse every morning, swar sadhna, and ofcourse live stage singing also in front of music lovers.

Do you ever get nervous?

Sugandha: Not really.

Do you prefer on specific genre of music over any other genre? If so, what genre and why?

Sugandha: Classical music, fusion why because i am a trained classical singer, and thru training i got to know classical is the base for every genre. “Swar gyaan” its like ABCD of English language. Also i feel the power in swaras and different ragas which just bring u closer to almighty.

The best thing you’ve ever done?

Sugandha: That i learnt classical music with full dedication from my dada-guru.

Who is your favorite singer whom you have worked with?

Sugandha: My favorite singer is Lata ji and sonu nigam ji. I have worked with Sonu sir (performed in awards and live shows) and he is brilliant.

You mentioned in a interview that “I am here because of Kapil bhaiya”. What role he played in your success?

Sugandha: Its a long story. It would be great if you get the details from that article. But in short would like to tell you that he played major role in bringing me to Mumbai, we both were in same college, he is family to me, so he convinced my parents that they should send me to Mumbai and allow me to participate in a comedy reality show.

Who is your favorite character in “The Kapil Sharma Show” except Kapil Sharma?

Sugandha: Dr. Mashhoor Gulati, and also i love my own character it’s a crazy one “Teacher Vidyavati”.

Any other love than Music & Comedy?

Sugandha: Music is my first love and will always be.

Where do you get your crazy ideas?

Sugandha: Hahaha. Well that’s a crazy question..!!! Well… I think i am blessed to be crazy in that matter.

What don’t you like about comedy?

Sugandha: What i don’t like is there are very few girls in the field of comedy, it should not be a male dominant field. More girls should explore themselves.

Any emotional part in your life?

Sugandha: I am a very emotional person, i miss my grand pa a lot. I am extremely attached to him.

If you had to change your name, what would you change it to?

Sugandha: Mmm well i would prefer a shorter one.. May be just three words like Jia, Ria, Tia.. But i have a nick name Ritu. I like it. Its quite short. And my loved ones calls me from that name only.

What do you do to have fun?

Sugandha: Don’t need to do anything, i just be myself, enjoy every moment. I am a fun loving person, each and every moment is fun for me. If it’s not i make it my way.

Are you a morning person or a night owl?

Sugandha: I am completely a Night Owl, can’t help it because of off shoot timings and travelling schedule. But i personally like to do a lot of creative stuff in the night like singing, composing, scripting etc. With more concentration.
