BLACKPINK is unbeatable at K-pop girl group rankings, aespa, IVE, LE SSERAFIM follows

According to this month’s rankings of girl group brand repute, BLACKPINK has stormed to the top. Aespa and IVE, meanwhile, continued to occupy the second and third positions. LE SSERAFIM, TWICE, Red Velvet, (G)I-DLE, and others have secured some noteworthy positions among the top 30.

With a 6.21 percent increase in their score since November, BLACKPINK has once again taken the top spot in the list, reaching 13,429,72 for the entire month of December.

However, Aespa maintained its position as the second-ranked brand with a total brand reputation index of 4,575,070. However, IVE also held onto its third-place ranking with a brand reputation index of 3,899,143, a 9.27 percent increase since November.

TWICE completed the top five with a brand reputation index of 3,003,669, a 20.91 percent rise from the previous month, while LE SSERAFIM maintained their fourth position with a brand reputation index of 3,253,408.

K-pop releases in December 2024: From Rosé’s debut album to V’s virtual duet

Some of the most anticipated K-pop comebacks are scheduled for December 2024. BTS’ V will make an appearance with White Christmas, which features the late jazz artist Bing Crosby, while BLACKPINK’s Rosé will release her maiden studio album, Rosie.

On December 6, Rosé of BLACKPINK will release her debut studio album, Rosie. APT with Bruno Mars and Number One Girl, as well as additional songs like 3 am, Two Years, Toxic till the end, Dance all night, Too bad for us, Call it the end, Not the same, Stay a little longer, Gameboy, and Drinks or Coffee, are among the album’s twelve tracks.

On December 6 (at 2:00 PM KST), BTS’ V will make an appearance to commemorate the holiday season with a special track called White Christmas.

Conversely, TWICE’s 14th mini-album, STRATEGY, is expected to mark their return. Seven tracks total—including the title tune with Megan Thee Stallion, Kiss My Troubles Away, Like It Like It, Sweetest Obsession, Keeper, Magical, and a group version of Strategy—will be released on December 6.

In addition to their major comebacks, LE SSERAFIM will release their fourth mini-album, CRAZY, in Japanese on December 11. Stray Kids will release their debut mixtape, HOP, on December 13th, marking the beginning of a new album series called SKZHOP HIPTAPE.

WISHFUL, NCT WISH’s debut album in Japan, and WELCOME BACK, 2NE1’s compilation album in Japan, will both be released on December 25.

ATEEZ and Twice’s Nayeon makes it to the top of Billboard’s World Albums chart

ATEEZ had a great week ending on July 6th on Billboard’s World Albums chart. The only non-Big 4 (HYBE, SM, JYPE, and YG) K-pop act among the top-ranked worldwide albums of the week was the eight-piece boy band from KQ Entertainment. The octet’s 10th mini-album, “Golden Hour: Part 1,” topped the chart at number one, making its well-earned comeback to the top spot for a fourth week.

TWICE Nayeon’s brand-new solo mini-album “NA,” which debuted at the top last week, trailed closely behind, dropping to #2. “NA” was included in the Billboard 200 chart, just like “Golden Hour.” Being the first female K-pop soloist to dominate the charts with two different albums for multiple weeks, Nayeon achieved a historic milestone as her most recent record continued its two-week run on the chart.

HYBE Labels reaches to the Top 15 World Albums chart on Billboard

Next up was Tomorrow X Together by HYBE Labels. “Minisode 3: Tomorrow,” the quintet’s sixth Korean mini-album, managed to maintain its fifth position for the thirteenth consecutive charting week.

With the release of their 2024 compilation album “17 Is Right Here,” SEVENTEEN maintained their position at the top of the chart.

The debut mini-album by rookie girl group ILLIT, “Super Real Me,” is currently in its 14th week at #8, while BTS Jimin’s solo debut album, “FACE,” holds the 9th rank after 60 weeks on the roster. Similarly, BTS’s two-year-old anthology album “PROOF,” which peaked at #10, continued their incredible record of 107 weeks on the chart.

In its 49th week, NewJeans’ “Get Up” rose to the 12th position. “Orange Blood” by ENHYPEN also rose to #14 as the band’s fifth EP continued its 32-week run.
