Air India on Thursday announced a refreshed global inflight menu offering a wider selection of regional Indian dishes and international cuisine. The menu is now available on most international ex-India routes and will be rolled out across all flights in the coming weeks.
The airline said the menu includes Awadhi, coastal and South Indian dishes alongside Pan-Asian and European bistro options. First and Business Class passengers will receive multi-course meals and customised beverage pairings, while upgraded trays have been introduced in Premium Economy and Economy.
Curated by Chef Sandeep Kalra, the line-up includes Teppanyaki bowls, chicken bibimbap, matcha delice, homestyle dal khichdi and a vegan and allergen-conscious range. Air India has also added over 18 special meal types and introduced sustainable practices such as responsible sourcing and compostable packaging.
Chief Customer Experience Officer Rajesh Dogra said the upgrades reflect the airline’s focus on enhancing passenger experience under its Vihaan.AI transformation programme.
