Ashok Leyland to Add 30 New Touchpoints in Western India

Strengthening its footprint in Maharashtra and Western India, Ashok Leyland has announced plans to add 30 new touchpoints to its existing 150 across the region within the next year.

The move aligns with the region’s accelerating infrastructure projects, robust economic momentum, and rising demand for light commercial vehicles. The company aims to enhance service accessibility and reinforce its position in one of its key markets.

Ashok Leyland’s LCV operations in Western India currently include 29 dealer partners, 130 service workshops, and more than 350 Ashok Leyland Trained Technicians (ALTTs). The network presently ensures service access every 35 kilometres. With the proposed expansion, the company is targeting service coverage every 25 kilometres.

Mr. Viplav Shah, Head – LCV Business, Ashok Leyland said, “The expansion of the LCV networking in Maharashtra and the entire Western region will be a game changer for us. Along with Best-in-Class Mileage, Payload, Loading Area, Comfort and Reliability that our LCV range offers, now we are taking a big step in multiplying our service reach. We remain committed to strengthening our presence in the Western region, which is a key market for us.”

Ashok Leyland noted that innovation and advanced technology continue to be central to its growth strategy. Backed by an expanding market share and a strong LCV portfolio, the company is positioning itself to cater to diverse industry segments while supporting Western India’s economic development.

The expansion reflects Ashok Leyland’s continued commitment to delivering superior products and services while reinforcing its leadership in the light commercial vehicle market.
