From National Records to Guinness Recognition: SMFG India Credit’s Pashu Vikas Day Impacts 1.55 Lakh Lives

SMFG India Credit marked the successful completion of the 8th edition of Pashu Vikas Day on February 14, 2026, impacting more than 1.55 lakh lives and treating nearly 1.4 lakh cattle nationwide.

Held across 16 states and 510 SMFG Gramshakti branches, the initiative extended healthcare support to over 14,000 individuals and benefited more than 30,000 households.

The 2026 theme, ‘Sarvottam Seva: Pashu, Parivar aur Pragati’, highlighted the intrinsic connection between livestock health and rural economic advancement.

In Maharashtra, 59 camps served more than 19,000 cattle and supported 5,200 households with veterinary consultations, medicines, vaccinations and productivity advisory.

Since its launch in 2014, Pashu Vikas Day has gained significant recognition. It was featured in the Limca Book of Records (2015), Best of India Records (2018), World Book of Records (2019), and World Records Union (2024). In 2025, the initiative achieved a Guinness World Record for conducting the largest cattle welfare lesson across multiple locations in India simultaneously.
