Godrej Industries Group has launched its first Assistive Tech Conference 2025, uniting experts across technology, business and disability-rights to accelerate India’s move toward more accessible workplaces. The event coincided with the International Day of Persons with Disabilities and emphasised the role of innovation in reshaping workforce participation.
According to Parmesh Shahani, Head of the Godrej DEI Lab, the conference underscored that designing with empathy and purpose can create systems where every individual thrives. He said assistive technologies extend beyond tools to empowerment and agency.
The event showcased 12 inclusive-tech start-ups, along with an exhibition featuring Access for All, NCPEDP and the AssisTech Foundation. Godrej Properties unveiled its in-house AI-enabled sign language app ThisAbleMe Echo, allowing employees to communicate through sign-language interpretation and conversation summaries
