Tata Power Solaroof, part of Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited, has reported strong growth in rooftop solar installations, achieving 1 GWp capacity addition in the first nine months of FY26. The company recorded 127% year-on-year growth over the same period in FY25.
The company added 58,476 rooftop solar installations in Q3 FY26 alone, contributing 372 MWp of capacity and recording 242% YoY growth compared with Q3 FY25.
During FY26 (9M), Tata Power Solaroof added 1.7 lakh new customers, representing a 345% increase compared with the same period last year. This has taken its cumulative customer base beyond 3 lakh, with installed capacity exceeding 4 GWp.
State-wise performance showed Uttar Pradesh leading installations with 30,857 systems (128.13 MWp), followed by Maharashtra (21,044 installations; 126.33 MWp), Gujarat (18,907 installations; 143.02 MWp) and Telangana (14,622 installations; 62.08 MWp).
On a cumulative basis, Maharashtra and Gujarat continue to dominate rooftop solar adoption, followed by Tamil Nadu and Chhattisgarh. Tata Power Solaroof has been ranked India’s No. 1 rooftop solar player for the last decade by BTI Research (CRISIL).
