Marking four decades of shaping India’s relationship with time, Titan Company Limited has named Grandmaster Gukesh Dommaraju as ‘Titan of the Year 2026’ and unveiled a commemorative limited-edition watch.
The recognition forms part of Titan’s ongoing effort to create a “horological gallery” celebrating Indian excellence. The 2026 edition follows the inaugural tribute to Wing Commander Rakesh Sharma.
Inspired by the idea of a ‘Master Move’, the watch features a marquetry dial in tiger eye and black agate, custom indices reflecting chess-piece movement, and a rotor engraved with ‘Youngest World Chess Champion at 18’. The model is powered by Titan’s in-house automatic movement and limited to 500 pieces.
