Hair massage for better blood flow
Senior consultant dermatologist at Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals Dr. DM Mahajan said that massaging the scalp enhances blood flow to the hair follicles, providing vital nutrients and oxygen necessary for hair development. He also addressed the fact that stress is a typical element that contributes to hair loss and that getting a hair massage can help minimize it.
Amla
Agarwal recommends using amla dry fruit powder as a hair tonic or shampoo.
Dr. Mahajan provided an explanation for this, citing the high vitamin C and antioxidant content of amla. “These nutrients help strengthen hair follicles. Amla also has anti-inflammatory properties that can soothe the scalp and prevent dandruff, which leads to hair thinning,” he continued.
Shikakai

According to Agarwal, using the dry powder from shikakai pods helps stop hair breaking and encourage hair development. “It is used for the healthy growth of hair and to keep hair in its original colour.”
Dr Mahajan added, “It contains vitamins, antioxidants, and other nutrients that nourish the scalp and hair follicles, promoting healthy hair growth. Shikakai also has cleansing properties that help remove dirt and excess oil from the scalp, preventing clogged pores”.
Rosemary

Agarwal suggested that, “The topical application of rosemary stimulates hair follicles. In addition, aromatherapy with rosemary oil is beneficial in promoting hair growth.”
Dr. Mahajan further added that the antimicrobial properties of rosemary can help prevent conditions like dandruff and maintain a healthy scalp. “Rosemary oil has also been shown to inhibit the production of DHT — a hormone linked to hair loss.”

“Onion juice has hair growth-promoting activity,” mentioned Agarwal, further mentioning its iron and zinc goodness.
Dr. Mahajan further mentioned that sulfur, which is present in onions, is necessary for the synthesis of collagen, a protein that fortifies hair follicles. Additionally, onion juice may promote hair growth by increasing blood flow to the scalp.
