The summertime heatwave can impact your skin, resulting into inflammation, dryness and redness. Sunburn is one such condition which is quite prevalent.
“Sunburn is caused by a variety of factors, including the length of time spent in the sun, the time of day, the intensity of UV radiation, your skin type, and the use of any topical or internal treatment,” said Dr Dimple Jangda, Ayurveda & Gut Health Coach wrote on Instagram.
She further shared some Ayurvedic tips to heal sunburn:

Aloe vera: When applied topically, aloe vera gel soothes, cools, and moisturizes burnt skin at the same time as lowering inflammation. To extract the aloe vera gel, place the leaf on a plate and cut through the center. Directly apply the newly made gel to your skin.

Honey: Honey has anti-inflammatory and naturally hydrating properties that can help relieve sunburned skin. Before rinsing, apply a thin layer of honey to the sun-damaged region and let it sit for 15 to 30 minutes.

Keep Yourself Hydrated: Having healthy skin requires staying hydrated. When you have injured skin, such after a sunburn, you need water even more.
