Cipla Board expected to declare FY 2023–24 final dividend on May 10

The Board of Directors of Cipla, a prominent pharmaceutical firm, will meet on May 10 to deliberate and approve the standalone and consolidated audited financial results for the fourth quarter and the year ended March 31, 2024. This information was revealed in a stock exchange filing on April 5. The medication manufacturer added that the Board will consider whether to recommend a final dividend for the fiscal year 2023–2024.

Cipla also announced that on May 10, it would issue the audited financial results for Q4FY24.

Cipla’s track record of reliably declaring dividends over the course of several years demonstrates its dedication to repaying shareholders.

The company had announced an equity dividend of 425% for the fiscal year that ends in March 2023, or Rs 8.5 per share. Additionally, reinstating a 250 percent equity dividend in the previous fiscal year 2021–2022, or Rs 5 per equity share with a face value of Rs 2.

For the quarter ending in December 2023, the pharmaceutical giant Cipla reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 1,068.4 crore, a 32.25 percent increase over the same time the previous year.

The shares ended the April 5 trading session at Rs 1449.40 a share on the NSE, down 0.70 percent (or Rs 10.15) from the closing of the day before.
