Major two-wheeler manufacturer Hero Motocorp announced on Sunday that, in collaboration with its distributor CG Motors, it had launched an assembly plant in Nepal. Hero MotoCorp said in a statement that the factory, which would have a capacity of 75,000 units annually, will bring new investments and job possibilities to the area.
It further stated that four recently introduced models, the Xoom 110 scooter, Super Splendor, Splendor+ motorcycles, and Xpulse 200 4V, will be locally built at a new assembly facility at Nawalparasi’s CG Industrial Park.
“This is an exciting development for us, CG Motors and for Nepal. The state-of-the-art assembly unit will ensure that our world-class products will now be made in Nepal and available to customers across the country,” Hero Motocorp Chief Business Officer – Global Business Unit, Sanjay Bhan stated.
He further added, “The rapid expansion of the sales and service network will enable us to entrench the market with our world-class products and services.”
