The overall market capitalization of the top ten most valuable companies in India underwent a significant shift last week, with six of them experiencing a fall of ₹71,414 crore.

The following 10 companies saw their market values decline: Hindustan Unilever, Bharti Airtel, Reliance Industries, LIC, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), ITC, and Hindustan Unilever.

The massive state-owned company Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) was leading the pack throughout this crisis.

On the other hand, State Bank of India, Infosys, HDFC Bank, and ICICI Bank all had increases in market capitalization, totaling ₹62,038.86 crore.

1.16%, or 831.15 points, was gained by the BSE benchmark, indicating a mixed attitude among investors. The largest laggard, LIC, saw a sharp drop in market value of ₹26,217.12 crore.

TCS experienced a significant decline as well, losing ₹18,762.61 crore to bring its market value down to ₹14,93,980.70 crore. Comparably, Hindustan Unilever’s market value dropped by ₹11,548.24 crore to ₹5,58,039.67 crore, while ITC’s fell by ₹13,539.84 crore to ₹5,05,092.18 crore.

Reliance Industries and Bharti Airtel both saw decreases, albeit they were not as severe.

The market valuation of Bharti Airtel decreased by ₹703.60 crore to ₹6,30,340.9 crore, whereas Reliance Industries saw a decline of ₹642.62 crore to ₹19,76,493.92 crore.

Reliance Industries, whose shares hit a 52-week high of ₹2,968.40 apiece, notably accomplished a noteworthy milestone by being the first Indian business to reach a market valuation of ₹20 lakh crore.

On the other hand, the market capitalization of State Bank of India increased significantly, rising from ₹27,220.07 crore to ₹6,73,585.09 crore. Infosys increased its valuation by ₹13,592.73 crore to ₹7,06,573.08 crore.

Gains were also experienced by HDFC Bank and ICICI Bank, whose market valuations increased by ₹12,684.58 crore and ₹8,541.48 crore, respectively.

Reliance Industries maintained its lead in the ranking of the top ten most valuable companies, with TCS, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Infosys, State Bank of India, LIC, Bharti Airtel, Hindustan Unilever, and ITC following in order of precedence.
