Mcap of BSE-listed companies reaches a whopping 400 trillion post surge in stocks

After a record-breaking rise in stocks that saw the 30-share BSE Sensex achieve its lifetime top, the market capitalization of companies listed on the BSE touched an all-time high of Rs 401.10 trillion on Monday morning.

Early in trading, the 30-share BSE benchmark increased by 425.62 points to hit a new all-time high of 74,673.84. The market capitalization (mcap) of BSE-listed businesses achieved an all-time high of Rs 4,01,16,018.89 crore ($ 4.81 trillion) as a result of the stock market surge.

The market capitalization of companies listed on the BSE has surpassed the coveted Rs 400 trillion milestone for the first time ever.

In the Asian markets, Hong Kong and Shanghai traded lower, while Tokyo and Seoul traded positively. On Friday, Wall Street wrapped up with growth.

Exchange data shows that on Friday, foreign institutional investors (FIIs) purchased stocks valued at Rs 1,659.27 crore.
Benchmark Brent crude for global oil prices dropped 1.36 percent to $89.93 per barrel.
