US markets closed at the last trading day of FY24 with a slight gain, GIFT Nifty soars

On March 28, the US markets saw a little increase in trading. At 5,253.62, the S&P 500 was up 0.09 percent. As the company closes up its greatest quarter in five years, investors are feeling upbeat and doing well. At 16,402.20 and 39,761.50, respectively, the Nasdaq Composite and Dow Jones Industrial Average closed the day flat to slightly higher.

The S&P 500 has had its highest performance since 2019 during the quarter, rising by almost 10%. In the same time frame, the Dow Jones increased by 5.5 percent and the Nasdaq gained 9.3 percent.

GIFT Nifty increased 0.42 percent to close at 22,577.00 on Thursday. Friday, March 29 will see no trading on the stock markets

For the second day in a row, European markets were trading positively.

By 8:30 p.m. Indian Standard Time, the FTSE had gained 0.46 percent to 7,968.66, while the DAX had gained 0.11 percent to 18,498.26. At 8,213.49%, the CAC likewise had a 0.11 percent gain in trading.

The Nikkei fell 1.46 percent earlier in the day to 40,168.07 as investors booked profits. Strong policy bets helped the Hang Seng bounce back from a protracted losing skid, rising by about 1% to 16,541.42.

Amidst robust global indications, the Nifty increased by 0.91 percent to 22,326.90, while the Sensex saw a 0.88 percent increase to 73,635.48.

At 87.35, Brent likewise saw a 1.46 percent increase in trade.

Net purchases by DIIs were Rs 2,691.52 crore, while net purchases by FIIs and FPIs were Rs 188.31 crore.

On March 28, crude had a slight increase and was up 1.51 percent at 82.58.
