YES Bank issues 1.28 bn shares to CA Basque through preferential allocation

In an exchange filing, YES Bank stated that it had granted 1.28 billion fully paid-up equity shares with a face value of Rs 2 to CA Basque on April 21.

The allotment was made in accordance with the 1.28 billion share warrants that CA Basque was granted on December 13, 2022, at a cost of Rs 14.82 per warrant, according to the filing. A preferential allocation method was used to distribute the shares.

On April 19, shares of the bank ended at Rs. 23.94, registering a slight increase of 0.21 percent on the BSE.

“The equity shares are being allotted to CA Basque pursuant to exercise by it of the Warrants held by it, and the equity shares shall rank pari passu in all respects with the existing equity shares of the Bank of face value Rs. 2/ each, including dividend, if any,” the statement mentioned.

It further stated that the total issued paid-up capital has grown from Rs 5,753 crore to Rs 6,009 crore as a result of the allocation.
