CEAT, a leading Indian tyre manufacturer, has launched SecuraDrive CIRCL, the country’s first passenger car tyre made with up to 90% bio-based sustainable materials. This pioneering product highlights CEAT’s commitment to sustainability and technological innovation as part of its premiumisation strategy.
The SecuraDrive CIRCL tyre, developed at CEAT’s advanced R&D centre in Halol, is available in two variants featuring 50% and 90% sustainable content respectively. It is designed for urban consumers aged 25-45 from upper middle-class and affluent households who prioritize sustainability alongside safety and performance.

The tyre incorporates three patented innovations: a Unified Biopolymer Inner Liner that reduces material complexity and emissions; a Glycerol-Based Accelerator replacing petroleum-derived chemicals with a bio-based alternative; and an Anti-Static Silica Conductive Solution that removes the need for conventional carbon black while maintaining electrical conductivity and safety. Together, these advances make SecuraDrive CIRCL one of the most sustainable, road-ready passenger car tyres on the market.
CEAT continues to push sustainability across its value chain, from sourcing eco-friendly raw materials to promoting circular economy practices such as tyre recycling. SecuraDrive CIRCL will be available across CEAT’s premium retail outlets and authorized dealerships starting September 2025, priced at INR 12,999 for the 90% sustainable variant and INR 8,999 for the 50% variant.
