Finolex Industries Limited and its CSR arm, Mukul Madhav Foundation (MMF), have marked the fifth anniversary of their flagship initiative, ‘Give with Dignity™’ — a heartwarming campaign that has grown from a small pandemic relief effort into a nationwide movement of compassion, collaboration, and community empowerment.
Launched in 2020 at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Give with Dignity™ was born out of a simple belief: that everyone deserves to celebrate with pride and joy, regardless of their circumstances. Over the years, it has become a platform of hope, reaching thousands of vulnerable families across India — from rickshaw drivers and daily wage earners to tribal groups, persons with disabilities, and members of the transgender community.
Instead of traditional festive gifting, Finolex and MMF have redirected those funds toward creating locally sourced festive dignity kits, each crafted to meet regional needs. Every kit includes essential groceries, hygiene items, and handcrafted diyas made by people with disabilities — ensuring that the act of giving supports both those who receive and those who help create. The campaign follows the principle of “Buy Local, Give Local,” strengthening rural livelihoods and local economies.
In its fifth edition, 10,000 kits were distributed across 11 states, including Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Goa, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, and West Bengal. Since its inception, the initiative has touched the lives of over three lakh individuals across 24 states, supported by a growing network of corporates, donors, and NGOs.
Through its five-year journey, Give with Dignity™ has achieved far more than distribution. It has revived 120 self-help groups (SHGs) through consistent procurement, helped 30 SHGs register as MSMEs, and created sustainable income opportunities for women and local entrepreneurs — proving that dignity-driven giving can be both compassionate and empowering.
“Over the past five years, Diwali has not just been about distributing kits; we have been sharing hope, respect, and the warmth of human kindness. Our goal is to ensure that the festival’s joy reaches every corner of society — especially those who are often overlooked. This initiative embodies our belief that true celebration lies in uplifting others and spreading light where it is needed most. I thank the corporates, retail donors, and on-ground partners who came forward to join hands in the midst of the pandemic and displayed how collaboration can move mountains. I remain grateful to the Finolex Management and Board of Directors for continuing to support this vision that began during the pandemic in 2020. Each year, the campaign reminds us that compassion can spark change far beyond what we imagine, creating ripples of unity and dignity across communities,” said Mrs. Ritu Prakash Chhabria, Managing Trustee, Mukul Madhav Foundation.
What began as a response to crisis has now become an annual celebration of empathy and inclusivity — one that continues to inspire collective action. Together, Finolex Industries and Mukul Madhav Foundation remain committed to building stronger, more resilient communities through sustained work in healthcare, education, water conservation, and social welfare — ensuring that the true spirit of giving continues to illuminate lives across India.
