In a landmark achievement, the Security Solutions business of Godrej Enterprises Group has become the first player in the physical security industry to receive the GreenPro certification for its lockers. The recognition underscores the company’s efforts to combine sustainability with high-security solutions, ensuring customers no longer have to choose between safety and environmental responsibility.
The certification evaluates stringent criteria such as renewable energy usage, water recycling, sourcing materials from certified green vendors, eco-friendly packaging, recyclability, and responsible end-of-life management. It is renewed every two years to ensure ongoing compliance with carbon emission standards.
Mr. Pushkar Gokhale, Business Head of the Security Solutions business, Godrej Enterprises Group, said, “At Godrej, sustainability is not just a responsibility but a core business priority. With 36% of our revenues already coming from Good & Green products, our aim is to scale this to 50% by 2030. The GreenPro certification of our lockers demonstrates how we are leading with our major revenue-generating products to meet this goal. To earn this milestone, Godrej implemented sustainable product design, energy-efficient and low-carbon manufacturing, waste management systems, and a green supply chain. Certified products include Strong Room Doors (Class B & C), High Security Class A Safes, home lockers, and safe deposit locker cabinets.
With this certification, Godrej reinforces its leadership in the security industry and strengthens its commitment to creating secure, eco-friendly, and future-ready solutions.
