Godrej Expands AC Portfolio, Eyes 40% Growth with New Commercial Offerings

The appliances business of Godrej & Boyce, part of the Godrej Enterprises Group, has expanded its air conditioning portfolio with a new range of light commercial ACs, aimed at meeting the demands of large residential and commercial spaces.

The lineup includes one-way and four-way cassette ACs in 2 and 3-ton capacities, tower ACs from 2 to 4 tons, and a new Turbo Cool Split AC in 2.5 and 3 tons. Notably, the 3-ton Turbo Cool model features the industry’s widest indoor unit, enabling a stronger air throw and enhanced cooling.

The entire commercial AC range comes equipped with AI-powered technology that adjusts cooling based on ambient heat and user proximity, ensuring efficiency and performance. Features such as Smart IoT connectivity, 4-way swing, inverter and 5-in-1 convertible technology, along with eco-friendly R32 refrigerant, underline the brand’s focus on energy efficiency and sustainability. The products are designed to deliver reliable cooling even in extreme summer conditions of up to 52°C and carry a five-year compressor warranty.

Commenting on the launch, Kamal Nandi, Business Head & EVP at the Appliances Business of Godrej Enterprises Group, said, “Due to soaring temperatures, ACs have become a necessity even in commercial spaces. Our new light commercial AC portfolio unlocks greater value for our consumers, with new cooling formats, capacities and AI powered technologies. Coupled with our extensive portfolio of domestic ACs, brand building efforts, network expansion, specially crafted festive offers and anticipated lower GST rates, we are targeting over 40% growth in our overall AC sales during this festive season over last year.”

Adding perspective on the segment’s growth, Sabyasachi Gupta, Product Group Head – Air Conditioners, Appliances Business, Godrej Enterprises Group, said, “Commercial ACs are growing at a rate of 14-15% in the industry. Our latest light commercial ACs span across larger capacities with advanced technologies to meet the needs of larger spaces. The lines between domestic AC and light commercial ACs are also getting blurred increasingly with premium consumers gravitating towards cassettes and towers even at their homes, going beyond office spaces. Similarly, larger cooling capacities are also seeing increasing adoption amongst premium consumers and work well for both living rooms and commercial spaces. For those who prefer the split AC format, we also have our new Turbo Cool 3 Ton model with the largest width of 126 cm for a powerful air throw. All put together, we are committed to offering our consumers best in class air conditioning portfolio and to sustain our industry best growth level.”

The new range of light commercial ACs starts at an MRP of ₹70,000 and will be available across authorized retail stores and e-commerce platforms nationwide.
