Godrej Industries Group has renewed its partnership with Literature Live! The Mumbai LitFest, as the city’s premier literary event marks its 16th edition from November 7 to 9 at the National Centre for the Performing Arts (NCPA), Nariman Point.
The three-day festival will feature over 120 renowned authors, thinkers, and artists from more than ten countries, offering a vibrant platform for stories, ideas, and performances that capture Mumbai’s cultural pulse. Highlights include The Great Debate, Book in Focus, The Little Festival for Children, and workshops curated by the Godrej DEI Lab, spotlighting conversations on diversity, equity, and inclusion.
This year’s edition will enhance accessibility through Indian Sign Language (ISL) interpretation in over 15 sessions, led by Access for All. The organization will also conduct a zine-making workshop for children to nurture empathy and expression. A dedicated sensory-friendly tent in the Open-Air Plaza will offer a safe and calming space for neurodivergent children, equipped with tactile materials, noise-cancelling tools, and trained facilitators.
Speaking on the continued collaboration, Nadir Godrej, Chairperson, Godrej Industries Group, said:
“The Mumbai LitFest is a celebration of the city’s enduring spirit — a place where imagination and ideas thrive. At Godrej, we deeply value the power of storytelling and are proud to once again support a platform that inspires dialogue and creativity.”
The festival will also host the Godrej Literature Live! Awards, recognizing excellence across Fiction, Non-Fiction, Business, and Playwriting. This year, Gujarati poet Sitanshu Yashaschandra will be honoured as Poet Laureate, while Lifetime Achievement Award will be presented to acclaimed Hindi novelist and poet Vinod Kumar Shukla.
Festival Co-Director Amy Fernandes expressed her gratitude, saying:
“As we celebrate 16 years of the LitFest, it’s heartening to see how this event has grown into a dynamic platform for exchange and creativity. Our partnership with Godrej has been instrumental in nurturing Mumbai’s literary and cultural ecosystem.”
