Tata Power Launches ‘Ghar Ghar Solar’ in Pune to Boost Rooftop Adoption Across Maharashtra

Tata Power Renewables, a subsidiary of Tata Power, has launched its Ghar Ghar Solar campaign in Pune to accelerate residential rooftop solar adoption in Maharashtra.

As part of the initiative, the company introduced a special Independence Day scheme allowing households to own a rooftop solar system for ₹1,947, symbolising the year of India’s independence. The plan offers nearly full financing, EMIs starting at ₹2,369 for a 2 kWp system, flexible tenures up to 60 months, instant digital loan approvals, and one-year complimentary solar insurance from Tata AIG.

Under the PM Surya Ghar Yojana, eligible households can also receive central subsidies of up to ₹78,000. Tata Power Solaroof has partnered with 15 banks, including SBI, Bank of India, and Canara Bank, to provide easy financing options.

The company aims to install 800 MW of rooftop capacity in Maharashtra over the next three years and onboard 1,000 channel partners and retailers to strengthen its distribution network. In Pune, where it already has 200 MW installed, the target is to add 250 MW within the same period.

To meet evolving residential energy needs, Tata Power also unveiled MySine — a compact solar plus battery backup system — and Solar Design Spaces, a curated range of 25 rooftop designs that combine sustainability with aesthetics. Both products are included under the Independence Day scheme.

“As part of our Ghar Ghar Solar campaign, we aim to make clean energy accessible, affordable, and aspirational for every Indian household,” said.

With over 775 MWp of rooftop solar already installed in Maharashtra, Tata Power Solaroof continues to offer a 25-year warranty on modules, lifetime service support, and a nationwide service network.
