Uber Expands Intercity Motorhomes Pilot to Mumbai, Bangalore, and Pune

After a successful pilot in Delhi NCR, Uber has expanded its limited-edition Intercity Motorhomes service to Mumbai, Bangalore, and Pune. The service, which offers caravan-style motorhomes for outstation trips, will continue in Delhi NCR until December 31, 2025.

Bookings for the new cities open on October 13, with trips starting October 15. The Delhi pilot, launched in August, achieved 100% occupancy, highlighting strong demand for comfortable, private long-distance travel.

Uber Intercity is becoming the go-to choice for riders seeking reliable and flexible intercity travel,” said Shiva Shailendran, Director – Consumer Growth, Uber India and South Asia. “The expansion reflects growing interest in comfort-first road trips for family, leisure, and business travel.”

Each Motorhome seats 4–5 passengers and comes with TV, microwave, mini-refrigerator, lavatory, and a driver plus helper. Riders can book via Uber Reserve, with real-time tracking and 24×7 support, and are advised to book at least 48 hours in advance due to high demand.

The rollout coincides with the October–December peak travel season, driven by festivals, weddings, and pleasant weather, as Uber Intercity continues to offer a reliable, app-based alternative for long-distance road travel across India.
