2NE1 reunion: Top K-pop stars spotted at the Welcome Back concert in Seoul
This concert featured 2NE1’s 15th debut anniversary
After many meetings with YG Entertainment, 2NE1 got back together for their Welcome Back concerts in Seoul, after a break of several decades. Numerous K-pop celebrities, including BIGBANG, NewJeans, Jennie of BLACKPINK, and many more, attended the storied K-pop concerts. They were seen plauding the performers and taking in the music.
A number of K-pop celebrities graced the stage and expressed their love and support for the legendary group 2NE1 over the three days of their Welcome Back performances in Seoul. Attendees at the concert included BLACKPINK’s Jennie, G-Dragon, Taeyang, and Daesung from BIGBANG, as well as NewJeans, BABYMONSTER, WINNER, and iKON.
On October 4, 5, and 6, three concerts took place in Seoul at the Olympic Park. Additionally, 2NE1 has performances scheduled for November at Kobe’s World Hall and December at Tokyo’s Ariake Arena. In 2024 and 2025, more locations will be covered throughout the winter.
A four-piece group called 2NE1 was founded by YG Entertainment. The members of the group, which was founded in 2009, are Sandra Park, better known by her stage name Dara, CL, Bom, and Minzy. In 2009, they debuted with Lollipop, a project they worked on alongside BIGBANG. After that, they released their popular song Fire. They released their debut EP, 2NE1, in the same year.
Over the years, the group has released many hit songs, like I Am the Best, Lonely, Fire, Ugly, and many more. In 2016, it was announced that the group would disband. They released their last single, Goodbye, in 2017. In 2022, the members reunited for their Coachella Music Festival performance. The members were focusing on individual activities before their reunion was confirmed.
