Band Baaja Baaraat (2010)

With Ranveer Singh’s debut film Band Baaja Baaraat, which also starred Anushka Sharma, the practice of filming at campuses gained traction. The plot of the romantic comedy centers on two students who begin their wedding planning after graduating from college. The opening sequences were recorded at Ramjas College and Hansraj College.

Rockstar (2011)

Ranbir Kapoor portrays a college student who is trying to launch his singing career in the Imtiaz Ali classic. He chooses to propose Heer, also known as the sad machine performed by Nargis Fakhri, after discovering that he requires a wounded heart in order to create soulful music. St. Stephen’s College and Hindu College were the designated filming locations.

Fukrey (2013)

Varun Sharma and Pulkit Samrat, who played two school backbenchers who dreamed of attending college. The majority of the first part of Fukrey is set in Miranda House, where Hunny and Choocha first meet Pankaj Tripathi, the college security guard, and then meet Ali Fazal, an ex-student, and Manjot Singh, well known as Lali and then the frantic journey begins.

Akaash Vani (2013)

Lovebirds Akaash and Vani, portrayed by Kartik Aaryan and Nushrratt Bharuccha, have a blissful beginning to their college romance, but the hard reality of their lives force them apart. Their college reunion brings them together by fate to give love another opportunity. Filming for this Luv Ranjan film took place at St. Stephens College, DU.

Raazi (2018)

Played by Alia Bhatt, Sehmat marries Pakistani military soldier Iqbal, also known as Vicky Kaushal, and decides to accomplish her father’s final desire by becoming a RAW spy. However, Sehmat was a Delhi University student prior to becoming a spy. Miranda House was the location of Alia’s first scene, in which she injures her ankle while rescuing a squirrel.

Kabir Singh (2019)

Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s romance drama starred Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani as medical students. From their first meeting until they moved in together and eventually graduated as doctors, most of their college sequences were filmed in Miranda House.
