Actor, internet star Poonam Pandey succumbed to cervical cancer at 32

Poonam Pandey, an actress and  model by profession and often the frequently controversial star on social media has passed away due to cervical cancer, as per a post shared on Instagram, Friday morning.

”This morning is a tough one for us. Deeply saddened to inform you that we have lost our beloved Poonam to cervical cancer. Every living form that ever came in contact with her was met with pure love and kindness. In this time of grief, we would request for privacy while we remember her fondly for all that we shared,” stated the post.

The unfortunate news might be a shocker for many however some claims that it might be just a publicity stunt for which the actress was infamous about.

A well-liked model was Poonam Pandey. When she declared in a video message prior to the 2011 Cricket World Cup final that she would strip if India won the championship match, her popularity shot to prominence.

In terms of her career, Poonam most recently appeared in the inaugural season of Lock Upp, which was hosted by Bollywood star Kangana Ranaut. Despite not winning the competition, she did grow her following base. Comedian Munawar Faruqui won the first season of Kangana Ranaut’s Lock Upp.
