The Seoul Central District Court granted ADOR’s request for an injunction against the NJZ (NewJeans) members to stop them from engaging in independent activities on March 21, KST.

Post the decision, ADOR released an official statement indicating its apparent desire to engage in open communication with the members and use conversation to find a solution. The label has also promised to keep helping and overseeing the group for their next scheduled dates, which include their appearance at ComplexCon in Hong Kong.

The agency penned: “Hello, this is ADOR. We deeply appreciate the wise judgment of the court regarding the injunction. As we have legally confirmed our status as the agency of NewJeans, ADOR will take full responsibility for supporting our artists in the future. We will fully support the ComplexCon performance this weekend so that it can be held under the name of NewJeans from ADOR. We hope to meet the artists soon and have a sincere conversation. We ask for your warm support and encouragement for NewJeans as they continue to grow together with ADOR. Thank you.”

On the hindsight, ADOR’s request for an injunction was broadened to forbid the NewJeans members from engaging in any form of entertainment, including independently writing, composing, or singing.
