Indian films received the recognition they deserved when Aishwarya Rai introduced them to foreign award shows. The actress’s portrayal as Jodhaa Bai in Jodhaa Akbar is one among her many memorable roles. With its aesthetics and costumes that took viewers back to the ancient period, Ashutosh Gowariker’s film was as opulent and reminiscing of the royal history. Rai’s crimson wedding gown from the movie was recently honored by the Academy when it arrived at the Museum. It was dubbed “a feast for the eyes” by fans.

Everyone who watched the epic historical romance drama film Jodhaa Akbar (2008) would concur that it was a masterwork that was expertly crafted. The Academy Museum currently displays Aishwarya Rai’s crimson wedding gown because it became so famous.

Earlier, on December 24, the coveted Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai’s iconic costume from the movie Jodhaa Akbar on their official social media account. “A lehenga fit for a queen, designed for the silver screen,” they said. The Academy emphasized that Indian designer Neeta Lulla, who did more than just construct a garment, left a lasting impact with her creation of Aishwarya’s crimson wedding lehenga from the 2008 movie.

“Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s red wedding lehenga is a feast for the eyes: vibrant zardozi embroidery, centuries-old craftsmanship, and a hidden gem—quite literally. Look closely, and you’ll spot a peacock, India’s national bird, made entirely of jewels,” The Academy penned.

A fan wrote, “Finally, iconic Indian movies are getting featured on The Academy page,” while another remarked the power of Aishwarya at the global level.
