1. Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama
Ranbir Kapoor’s appearance as Lord Rama was made public on the internet by a number of images that were taken on the sets of Nitish Tiwari’s film. This year, an article from India Today also disclosed that the actor will have a simple yet magnificent look.
2. Sai Pallavi as Sita
In contrast to the Animal actor, Sai Pallavi will portray Sita. Several pictures from the film set that were leaked earlier this year caused a stir on the internet. A fan expressed that the actress appeared “ethereal and beautiful” in the role.
3. Ravi Dubey as Lakshman

But after realizing the dynamics and risks involved, Yash and Namit Malhotra made the decision to collaborate equally and release the movie as a team.
5. Rakul Preet Singh as Shurpanakha
An insider with knowledge of the project told Pinkvilla earlier this year that Nitesh Tiwari and his group were working closely with Rakul Preet Singh to cast her as Shurpanakha in the Ramayana. Additionally, the actress saw the movie as “a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity” because of its association with the timeless Ramayana story.
6. Sunny Deol as Lord Hanunan
According to a Pinkvilla report, a source close to the project stated that Sunny Deol had been cast as the role of Lord Hanuman in the Ramayana.“Sunny Deol is all charged up to have gotten a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to play Lord Hanuman. It’s a casting made in heaven, as Lord Hanuman stands for Strength, and who better than Sunny Deol in the present times to play the part with utmost conviction,” a Pinkvilla source added.
7. Bobby Deol as Kumbhkaran
Pinkvilla report revealed in January of this year that the filmmakers were also interested in casting Bobby Deol as Kumbhkaran, but they had not received a response from the actor. There hasn’t been any news regarding the confirmation since then.
8. Lara Dutta as Princess Kaikeyi
Lara Dutta was considered the best option to play Princess Kaikeyi, King Dasharath’s third consort. Indeed, pictures from the shoot were also leaked online featuring the actress.
9. Vijay Sethupathi as Vibhishana
