1. Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama

Ranbir Kapoor’s appearance as Lord Rama was made public on the internet by a number of images that were taken on the sets of Nitish Tiwari’s film. This year, an article from India Today also disclosed that the actor will have a simple yet magnificent look.

2. Sai Pallavi as Sita

In contrast to the Animal actor, Sai Pallavi will portray Sita. Several pictures from the film set that were leaked earlier this year caused a stir on the internet. A fan expressed that the actress appeared “ethereal and beautiful” in the role.

Lakshman is reportedly going to be portrayed by well-known television actor Ravi Dubey. His character will be there for the duration of the epic saga story, and he plays a crucial role in it.

KGF actor Yash will play another important role, that of Ravana. The actor who is also a co-producer will own an equal portion of the movie. As per Pinkvilla sources, Prime Focus first made an offer to him of Rs 150 crores for each chapter of the Ramayana. But after realizing the dynamics and risks involved, Yash and Namit Malhotra made the decision to collaborate equally and release the movie as a team.

5. Rakul Preet Singh as Shurpanakha

It’s a casting made in heaven, as Lord Hanuman stands for Strength, and who better than Sunny Deol in the present times to play the part with utmost conviction,” a Pinkvilla source added.

Pinkvilla report revealed in January of this year that the filmmakers were also interested in casting Bobby Deol as Kumbhkaran, but they had not received a response from the actor. There hasn’t been any news regarding the confirmation since then.

In Nitesh Tiwari’s upcoming film Ramayana, veteran actor Shishir Sharma will portray Rishi Vasishtha, Lord Rama’s guru. In an earlier interview with Hindustan Times, he referred to the movie as a “huge and larger-than-life project.” He claimed that because of the film’s enormous scope, viewers are left “stunned with the magnum-opus it is,” which is beyond imagination.
