All India K-Pop Contest 2024: Regional rounds date confirmed, gains maximum entries from Delhi

The All India K-POP Contest 2024 is being organized by Cultural Center India, which has completed the first preliminary round with success. The lavish event, which is in its 14th edition, has developed into one of the Korean Cultural Center India’s signature initiatives.

The much-awaited results of the preliminary round, which took place between May 17, 2024, and June 28, 2024, have finally been released.

The evaluation is based on a number of factors, including the participants’ stage presence, skill, expression, and pronunciation, as well as how closely the performance resembles the original song. The chosen competitors will advance to the Regional Round, which takes place over a five-week period in eleven cities, after the preliminary round.

On July 27, 2024, the Regional Round gets underway in Bengaluru, with K-pop sensation Aoora serving as the main attraction. On that day, fans of K-pop will have the chance to see him perform. The regional round caravan will travel via several cities including Kohima, Kolkata, Itanagar, Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad, New Delhi, and more after leaving Bengaluru.

With 2,945 registrations, New Delhi topped the list, closely followed by Kolkata (1,695), Mumbai (1,062), Chennai (947), Hyderabad (773), Lucknow (751), Bengaluru (729), Bhopal (575), Ahmedabad (482), Itanagar (415), and Kohima (226). 10,559 registrations were received for the contest overall.

All 11 regional round winners will receive a ticket to the semifinals, which will take place in New Delhi on October 19, 2024. On November 23, 2024, the K-pop competition’s grand finale will be held at Yashobhoomi, New Delhi’s premier exhibition and convention center. Grand Finale winners will receive a unique chance to travel to South Korea as a reward.
