Amazon Prime Video India on X joined the social media feud between Alia Bhatt and the followers of BLACKPINK’s Jennie on Thursday. They removed the post that made fun of it all after receiving multiple boycott calls and allegations of being unprofessional.

Prime Video India’s X account shared a picture of Alia as Rani from Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, and wrote, “BLACKPINK fans, we bet you can hear this image (sobbing and side-eye emojis).” Alia’s fans gave a green signal to it and considered it to be a fun take, adding, “Prime video india aint coming slow,” Jennie’s fans were clearly not happy with the notion.

They were instantly accused of being unprofessional and clout-chasing in a number of comments under the post. Some even demanded that the platform be boycotted.  A fan tweeted,  “Prime Video India has now deleted its post trying chase clout using JENNIE and BLACKPINK’s name in order to promote their unoriginal flop content! BOYCOTT PRIME VIDEO INDIA. APOLOGIZE TO JENNIE @PrimeVideoIN.”

Another added, “I wooooonnderr what type of person is behind this post, no Jennie no hit tweet, trying desperately to gain attention to your lame show.” A comment read, “Please fire this admin for being unprofessional @PrimeVideo @PrimeVideoIN.” A fan wrote, “Honestly not gonna watch Prime Video anymore as @PrimeVideoIN’s admin was unprofessional and made a hate tweet about Jennie just to get likes!”

Meanwhile a comment read, “that army intern at prime video india getting fired now ijbol.” There was also some conjecture regarding how will they now watch BLACKPINK’s Jisoo’s Newtopia, “Sooyas suport prime India, don’t forget watch newtopia on prime video tomorrow.” Another pointed out, “Blinks always the worst of the worst. I mean, you know right newtopia still airing in prime video?”

Jennie teased her new single, “Like Jennie,” which will be released on March 7, on Tuesday. Fans of Alia started pointing out right once that the song’s thumps, beats, and vocals resembled Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’s Rani’s Theme. The comparison infuriated some of Jennie’s fans, who started making racist remarks about India and Alia.
