American Idol Season 23 is set to return featuring judges Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie, longtime host Ryan Seacrest, and Season 4 winner Carrie Underwood, who takes Katy Perry’s seat after seven seasons.
On Sunday, March 9 at 8 p.m. ET/PT, ABC will premiere American Idol Season 23, which will feature a fresh round of auditions and thrilling performances. ABC will broadcast the reality show throughout the weekend, and Hulu will stream the episodes the next day.
According to USA Today, those who want to watch the show live can do so via the ABC app or website, as well as other live-streaming platforms that allow fans to watch it in real-time.
Perry, who left the channel to concentrate on her music, will be replaced by her on the judges panel. After winning the singing competition, Underwood, an American Idol champ, will be making her comeback to the show after 20 years.
The first-ever artist in residence this season is Grammy-nominated performer Jelly Roll. According to Variety, he will collaborate directly with competitors, providing insightful guidance on how to succeed in the competition.
