Fans have been waiting in excitement about Angelina Jolie’s new project announcement. Finally, the actor is looped in for a new film adaptation of Fredrik Backman’s best-selling novel Anxious People. Jolie will be seen as Zara, a bank robber who battle complexities at an open house.

About Anxious People
The movie will be helmed by Marc Forster of A Man Called Otto and World War Z fame. As quoted by media reports, the project will be released before the Cannes market backed by Black Bear and Hope Studios.
The story is based on the protagonist Zara, who keeps the guests at a house in hostage. Amidst this situation, they warm hearts, share secrets and also plots a terrific plan to escape the police.
The movie is “about a crime that never took place, a would-be bank robber who disappears into thin air, and eight extremely anxious strangers who find they have more in common than they ever imagined… Through an ingeniously constructed story, Anxious People explores the enduring power of friendship, forgiveness, and hope—the things that save us, even in the most anxious times.”
Producer Wikström Nicastro said, “Fredrik’s novels speak to our shared humanity in a way that really moves audiences, and we’re proud to be able to deliver another heartwarming and hilarious adaptation of his work.”
