On Vancouver, Canada’s Victoria Island, shots were fired outside the home of Punjabi musician AP Dhillon. Criminal Lawrence Bishnoi, who is incarcerated at the moment, and mobster Rohit Godara have reportedly claimed credit for the shooting. Investigations into the incident are ongoing, and security officials are looking into a video that appears to capture the occurrence.
An article in India Today claims that a message making the rounds on social media verifies the Lawrence Bishnoi-Rohit Godara gang’s claim of culpability for the recent shootings. Victoria Island and Woodbridge in Toronto were the two separate Canadian locales that the gang is said to have targeted in a concerted attack on September 1.
Remarkably, this attack happened only a few weeks after Salman Khan’s song “Old Money,” featuring AP Dhillon, was released. According to the gang’s tweet, Dhillon and Salman’s cooperation prompted the shooting. Beyond this, the group has threatened Dhillon, citing his relationship with the Bollywood actor and admonishing him to stay inside his limitations’ or suffer dire repercussions.
In the interim, Canadian law enforcement is looking into the specifics of the shootings and verifying the veracity of the allegations. As of yet, the police have not released a formal statement. AP Dhillon hasn’t addressed the incident yet either.
